Pitbay — Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Pitbay apps and services. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the apps.

1. Who we are

Pitbay is a marketplace that connects vehicle owners with wash centers. We are not a wash center ourselves and we do not perform washes — that work is done by independent center operators listed on the platform.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Pitbay.
You agree to provide accurate name, mobile number, and email, and to update them if they change.
You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your OTP private.
One account per person. Don't create duplicate accounts to abuse promo offers.

3. Bookings

Slot reservation. When you confirm a booking, the wash center holds the slot for you. Please arrive within 15 minutes of the slot time.
Cancellation. Free cancellation up to 2 hours before the slot. Within 2 hours a ₹25 inconvenience fee may apply. Refunds (once payments are enabled) are processed within 3–5 business days.
Reschedule. You may reschedule a confirmed booking from the app up to the original slot time, subject to slot availability.
No-show. If you don't arrive within 15 minutes of your slot, the center may release the slot. No refund applies for no-shows.

4. Payment

Currently: Pitbay uses a pay-at-center model. The wash center collects payment from you directly when the wash is complete. Pitbay does not handle the money itself.

When we enable in-app payments, the relevant payment-processor terms (e.g. Razorpay) will apply in addition to these Terms.

5. Promo codes & offers

Promo codes are valid only for the specific terms shown when applied (minimum order, expiry, usage caps).
One promo code per booking. Codes cannot be combined.
Pitbay may withdraw or change promo codes at any time without notice.
Promo-driven discounts (app_discount) are funded by Pitbay and settled to the center separately from your payment.

6. Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the apps for any unlawful purpose.
Abuse, harass, or threaten center staff or Pitbay support.
Submit false ratings or reviews.
Try to interfere with the security or operation of the apps (e.g. by reverse-engineering or attempting to access other users' accounts).
Use the apps to spam or extract data on other users or centers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. Wash quality & disputes

Pitbay is a marketplace — the wash itself is performed by the center.
If you're not happy with a wash, raise it in the in-app chat within 24 hours. We'll work with the center to resolve it (re-wash, partial credit, or other appropriate remedy).
For damages claimed against the wash center, both parties agree to first attempt resolution via Pitbay support before pursuing other remedies.

8. For wash centers

You must hold all licenses required to operate a car-wash business in your jurisdiction.
You agree to honour confirmed bookings at the displayed price.
You agree not to ask customers to cancel Pitbay bookings and re-book directly with you.
Bank details you provide must belong to the registered business entity. Settlements are credited only to the named account.
Pitbay takes a platform commission (rate communicated at onboarding). The remainder is settled to your account on the agreed schedule.

9. Intellectual property

The Pitbay name, logos, app code, and content are owned by Pitbay. You receive a limited, non-transferable licence to use the apps as intended. You retain ownership of content you create (reviews, photos, messages) but grant Pitbay a worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and store that content for the purpose of operating the service.

10. Service availability

We try to keep the apps available 24×7, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend the service for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons. Wash centers may be temporarily unavailable.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The apps are provided "as is". Pitbay makes no warranties about the quality of any specific wash or the conduct of any specific center beyond what is required by applicable consumer-protection law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pitbay's total aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the service is limited to the total amount you paid to or via Pitbay in the 6 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Termination

You may close your account anytime by emailing support@pitbay.in.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms or for which we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraud or abuse.
Sections that are intended to survive (rights granted, IP, retention, liability, governing law) survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms over time. The Last updated date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be notified via the app and via email to active customers.
